Hello Everyone:

I had to pull out the ol' ticket stub album to remember the last time I saw ZZ Top. New Haven Coliseum, July 25 1983. My only recollection of that evening was that it was loud (that hasn't changed) and they did this psychedelic lightening thing that made it seam like the whole building was coming down around us, replete with falling mannequins and prop lights from the rigging. Here we are almost 30 years later and these guys still can rock albeit not as long.Beards longer and grayer perhaps but just as loud and raunchy.

Lucked out again with my seats this evening. My favorite location to record from at the MGM is the balcony, front row center preferably. Got the front row but off to the left. Still an excellent recording with minimal audience distractions. I opted not to do any extensive post editing as I believe the master didn't need it.
Enjoy!
