The song was recorded by Eva and Kizzo in August 2008. It was written by M. Hamilton & T. Person. In April 2009 the electro-pop track "Silly Boy" was leaked onto YouTube. Since then the song has attracted a large online fan community and became one of the most listened tracks online, generating over ten million clicks. At the time of the leak Simons became devastated and angry, but later became thankful for helping the track gain exposure.
