Sarah "Sass" Jordan (born December 23, 1962) is a British-born Canadian rock artist. Her hometown is Montreal, Quebec.
Biography
In 1992, Jordan performed a duet with Joe Cocker for the soundtrack of the motion picture The Bodyguard, starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, which sold more than 27 million copies worldwide. Her songs have been featured on numerous television shows, including Melrose Place, Party of Five, Baywatch, Flashpoint and Knight Rider.
She has toured/worked with bands such as: Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Van Halen, Alice Cooper, and Carlos Santana.
Jordan played the lead role of Janis Joplin in the off-Broadway hit, Love, Janis. Jordan has guest starred on NBC's Sisters and was featured in the Toronto and Winnipeg productions of The Vagina Monologues.
In 2003, she became a judge on Canadian Idol, and remained so for the show's entire run.
Jordan is married to musician Derek Sharp, the current lead singer of The Guess Who.
In 2012 Jordan was appointed honorary colonel of 417 Combat Support Squadron.
Jordan is currently in the band project S.U.N. (Something Unto Nothing) with musician Brian Tichy. As of Fall 2015, they are touring throughout North America.
