Release Notes:
Formed in Epinal (France) in 1996, Flying Donuts
quickly give their first shows. A demo cassette is
out in 1997 and a five track CD is following in
1997.
Their name then starts to appear in fanzines and on
compilations. The band shares shows with bands such
as Les Thugs, Seven Hate, Aina and Burning Heads
and is geting experience and self confidence. At
the same time, the band is also geting older and is
finding its own style.
Last Straight Line, Flying Donuts' first album is
out on november 2001 and soon has to be repressed.
They're playing more and more gigs, with bands from
the emo-glam connection (Second Rate, Dead Pop
Club, Homeboys, SexyPop,
Uncommonmenfrommars,X-Syndicate) and also at Les
EurockTennes De Belfort.
In the end of 2002, Flying Donuts record four new
tracks for a split they share with Second Rate. The
band starts playing abroad in Spain, Switzerland,
Belgium and Italy and have another french tour in
2003.
In 2004 the band records the seven inch Back Off !
and a split with I Am Affraid To Depress (only
available on the web). Renewed Attack is coming in
2006. This second album has been recorded by Harvey
Birrel (Therapy?, The buzzcocks, Senseless Things,
Mega City Four, Les ShTriffs...) in Dijon (FR) and
London (UK).
In 2009 a new album is coming out : Until the
morning comes 13 new tracks of punk-rock'n'roll
with a bit of pop and genius hard-rock gimmicks.
