Leo Blokhuis en Ricky Koole presenteren Whatever Happened To Christmas (Songs We Shouldn’t Forget). De afgelopen jaren maakten Top 2000 presentator, radio- en tv-maker Leo Blokhuis en actrice/zangeres Ricky Koole al meerdere albums met liedjes, waarvan zij vinden dat ze niet vergeten mogen worden. Een keuze niet gedreven door hitlijsten en commercie, maar enkel en alleen door hun liefde voor muziek.

Voor het inmiddels zesde deel van Song We Shouldn’t Forget doken Leo en Ricky hun platenkast in om de mooiste kerstmuziek te selecteren. Van soulklassiekers van Marvin Gaye en Donny Hathaway, naar het donkere geluid van Tom Waits en de broeierige muziek van Calexico, dat er veel mooie kerstmuziek te ontdekken valt, bewijzen de twee op dit zeer verrassende kerstalbum. 

Voor iedereen die zich afvraagt waarom we elk jaar dezelfde kerstmuziek aan moeten horen, zal dit album een welkome afwisseling zijn.
