This is a book that is very simillar in format to the Squadron Signal "In Action" series and whick gives you a short history of the Type VII U-Boats and its subtypes. The illustrations and photos are all in black and white but they still manage to give you a clear idea of how efficient and deadly these machines were (and also how tough life aboard them was).
