Delroy Williams - I Stand Black (Makasound) CD


Superb presentation of roots music recorded by Delroy Williams in the late seventies and early eighties for producer Augustus Pablo including the original I Stand Black album, fleshed out with various rare extended tracks. The music Williams made with Pablo is amongst the heaviest and most spiritual reggae music ever made, with tracks such as the title track, All The Time, on Pablo's colossal 555 Crown Street rhythm, Think Twice, on the high stepping No Entry rhythm, the awesome Fox Hole and, perhaps wickedest of all, the duet with Ricky Grant on Babylon Boys, rarely surpassed for those authentic high order deep rootsvibrations.
