Secret of the Shaolin Poles (1977)


The plot sees Fong returning to his town with a bounty on his head as he has become a 
thorn in the side of the Manchu government. 
Commander Ma has therefore entrusted his men to capture him. 
However to provoke a reaction from Fong, he kills two of his kung fu buddies. 
However as well as having to cope with this Fong discovers that someone named 
Fang Ting has been using his identity and all the perks that go with it, namely women and booze. 
They set about one another, but become friends after fighting. 
With Ma’s men unable to capture him, he hires Dragon Lee, a famous Japanese fighter to kill Fong Sai-yuk. 
Dragon is only too glad about this as Fong killed his brother Tiger Lee and he wants revenge. 
Ma and Dragon lure Fong onto the titular poles and the games begin in earnest. 
Little does Fong know that the poles are booby trapped and he barely escapes with his life. 
He is taken to the wise Mai Chu who decides to teach him how to master the Shaolin poles 
as he knows he will have to face Dragon Lee and Commander Ma one more time and rescue his loved ones.
