After release of dismal games like Hanuman and the slightly better Desi Adda, SCE has released another locally developed game, specifically targeting the Indian audience. Street Cricket Champions is an adaptation of street cricket, with features like bizarre trick-shots and emphasis on action over accurate depiction of the sport. The game is said to have nine match locations, same number of international teams and three game modes, including multiplayer support on PS2. Mumbai based game studio called Trine Games has developed Street Cricket Champions for PlayStation 2 (Rs. 499) and PlayStation Portable (Rs. 699).
