The PAOB (Precisionaerobus) Fokker 50 is a new advanced aircraft addon for MS Flight Simulator 2004.

The Fokker 50 is a turbo-prop powered short-range airliner typically carrying 50 passengers (standard configuration). Cruising speed is 245KTS. Max range (full pax load) is 1110NM. The service ceiling is 25,000ft.

The Fokker 50 is the successor to the highly successful Fokker 27 Friendship. First deliveries were made in 1983 to DLT and Ansett Airlines as the launch customers. A total of 206 Fokker 50s were produced before the Fokker Aircraft Company ceased production in 1997.

Major operators today include: VLM Airlines (20), Skyways Express (18), KLM Cityhopper (14), Denim Air (12), Maswings (8). All in all, 30 airlines on 5 continents operate one or more Fokker 50s in their fleet.

In terms of system simulation and realism the PAOB Fokker 50 positions itself slightly below the other products produced by Coolsky. However, compared to the default aircraft in MS Flight Simulator you will find that the PAOB Fokker 50 is a very complex and advanced addon.

The PAOB Fokker 50 manages to be both complex and advanced without being overly difficult to learn to fly. Proper cockpit management from startup to shutdown following the checklist carefully is the path to success.

The PAOB Fokker 50 base package includes the following liveries: KLM, MASwings, VLM, VLM (Dutch team livery) and SonAir.

The PAOB Fokker 50 is developed and published by Precisionaerobus in partnership with Coolsky. Coolsky is proud to have delivered all gauge programming for the PAOB Fokker 50. The gauges in this Fokker 50 are based on the gauges from the old Fokker 50 Panel Project. Fans of the Fokker 50 Panel Project should feel right at home with the PAOB Fokker 50.
