Since 2008, Rush has established itself as an action-packed series with exceptional production values and will resume in 2011 with more breath-taking stunts than ever before.

"Rush continues to deliver great stories, great stunts and some of the best performances on TV. We're delighted to announce our favourite (AFI nominated) action series will be back next year," said Executive Producer, Drama and Production, Network Ten, Rick Maier.

Producer, Southern Star, John Edwards added, "A 13 part mini series gives us the chance to tell a much bigger story across the season, to stretch our characters and open them up to a wider world. It's very exciting."

'Rush, series four, returns to Tactical Response - a squad of Police striving to be better, trained to respond to crisis. For the next thirteen part mini- series we open a bigger world. Kerry has been promoted to Deputy Commissioner and has TR at her beck and call. A larger story arc will straddle the self-contained, week by week stories; and the personal lives of our central characters is also revealed more deeply than in the first three series.' 

The most obvious implication from Kerry's promotion maybe that is takes Lawson off the street if he moves into her job. I guess that would allow for an inter-team that is at least believable, much as i'd rather not see it.

But more importantly it may also mean Josh is promoted and is in charge on the road. Now that could be good.
