NAVY TECH 02
What's in this set?
A large number of technical & training manuals, most on ordnance, fire control and ballistics, plus technical specialties such as electronics, meteorology, propulsion systems etc.
Quite a few have been converted to PDF format from large websites where the text data is presented in .html format. These include some very extensive works on large Naval guns, fire control, submarine operations & tactics..
Some folks may wonder why I go to the trouble of creating PDFs from Web documents?
Well... can we assume that the sites will ALWAYS be there? that the webmaster will never die, retire, or get tired of running it? Then the info goes "poof", maybe never to be seen again.
This way, there will be some folks who will save some of these files, & maybe they'll turn up elsewhere or get posted again, who knows when. It perpetuates the information & removes the "single point of failure" problem.
Also included are some interesting texts on the Rules of War, Navy Etiquette, acronyms and abbreviations, and a variety of downright strange topics.
In some cases, certain documents have "blanks" where illustrations should be, or in limited circumstances, images overlap or sit "on top of" text. This is the way the HTML pages
are in the first place, & nothing I can do in Acrobat is able to fix the problems. Better than nothing!
