Post Description
REAL DEAL ROCKIN' BLOOZ BAND !!!!!!!!!!!!
Why this name?
MY FATHER BOUGHT A GIBSON CITATION AND TWO GIBSON SWITCHMASTERS IN THE MID 60's. THOSES GUITARS, WHICH I STILL OWN TODAY, HAVE SO MUCH LOWDOWN, VOODOO-MOJO, I HAD TO NAME MY BAND AFTER ONE OF THEM. THE SWITCHMASTERS HAVE SO MUCH TONE, SPIRIT, AND SOUL I CHOSE THEM !!!!
Do you play live?
WE PLAY ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE THE PEOPLE LIKE ROCKIN. BLUES.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
HAS MADE MUSIC REAL AGAIN.MUSICIANS HAVE THE CHANCE TO BE HEARD BY MANY PEOPLE IN MANY PLACES, AND MAKE THEIR STATEMENT WITHOUT BIG CORPORATE CONTROL AND LIMITATIONS.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
ARE YOU KIDDING ? I PLAY REAL DEAL BLUES. BIG LABELS COULD CARE LESS. ALL I WANT TO DO IS PLAY GOOD MUSIC TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS I CAN.
For example, I have a couple of close friends who are two of the best Blues harmonica players in the world ( who must remain nameless here ). They are both on fairly "big" labels. The powers that be who run these labels do not want them playing much harmonica because it would make them sound like a "bar room Blues band". My advice to them was this : "Screw the big shot record cats, you ain't makin' no money anyway. Play the BLUES !!!!"
It is a true American art form that I will never let go of till the day I die.'Nuffsaid.

I am a old school guy. I do not care for over rehearsed and copy cat Blues. I just try to keep it in the groove, honest and real, while not straying from the music that I love, THE BLUES.
