Guide Review - Whitesnake - Live In The Still Of The Night DVD
David Coverdale has one of the best voices in music, and even though he's getting up there in age can still perform with the best of them. He's assembled a great lineup of musicians for this incarnation of Whitesnake, including guitarist Doug Aldrich (House Of Lords, Hurricane) and Reb Beach (Winger, Dokken), bassist Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy), keyboardist Timothy Drury (Don Henley, Stevie Nicks) and drummer Tommy Aldridge (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Oak Arkansas).
The DVD is 16 tracks recorded on their 2004 tour. It's everything you want a live DVD to be. The video and audio quality are top notch and of course Whitesnake's performances are outstanding. It's a nice mix of songs from different eras, ranging from bluesy ballads to full out arena rockers. The only omission is "Slide It In."
Bonus material includes a photo gallery and some interviews with band members.
