FAZJAZ.jp - Distortional Theory (Japanse top-fusion)

2005 release. Fazjaz are a new side project featuring the guitarist and bass player from the Japanese fusion group Fragile, Koichi Yabori and Masatoshi Mizuno, with Keiji Matsumoto on keys and drummer Masayuki Muraishi, known for his work with Kenso. The band transform jazz standards such as 'Naima' by Coltrane, 'A Night In Tunisia' into heavy electric fusion. Have you ever heard hard edged versions of 'Maiden Voyage' and 'The Eye of the Hurricane' by Herbie Hancock or 'Elegant People' and 'Palladium' by Wayne Shorter? Just listen to what Fazjaz can do to them.
