This DVD includes live footage of their show in Oosterpoort, 
Groningen (The Netherlands) at September 23rd. The group is infamous 
for their impressive live shows. 
The album by the appropriate name "The Hermit Sessions" is a 
reflection of Kytemans vision on Hip-Hop: optimistic, soulful and 
pushing the boundaries of jazzy, lyrical Hip-Hop. 

Kyteman was the sensation of the music festval Noorderslag 2009 in 
Groningen, The Netherlands. As former trompettist of the Haarlem 
band Relax he was working last three years very hard for his debut 
album. This is the result: "The Hermit Sessions". No drumcomputers 
and other electronic samples, it is played with acoustic 
instruments only. Kyteman composed an eleven man strong orchestra 
for the making of this album. 

Kyteman's hiphop orchestra has grown into a monster project. 
Starting out as Colin Benders playing all the instruments on "The 
Hermit Sessions", at the live shows the stage is filled with 12 
musicians and 8 MC's. Kyteman's Hiphop Orchestra is immensely 
dynamic, divers, equally explosive and whispering, with lyrics in 
English and French. But above all, it is an overwhelming live 
experience. The orchestra has three violin players, a cellist, 
three horn player, *******, drummer, percussionist, bass player and 
of course the trumpet of Kyteman himself. 

Kyteman conducts his orchestra with a top hat and a steady hand 
and without compromising his great trumpet playing.
