One of New Zealand"s most watched shows, Motorway Patrol, revs up for a return to our screens.

Drunk drivers, pulsating exhausts, hair-raising pursuits, ropey DIY and multi-car carnage ... the 11th season promises another jaw-dropping line-up of classic "Motorway" moments.

Producer, Tash Christie explains why the show still holds its own after a decade on-air, "There is something quintessentially Kiwi about Motorway Patrol. People identify with the stories, the characters ... and the excuses".

24-7 access to an endless supply of incidents on Auckland"s busy motorways, is key to the show"s unique flavour. "Working shoulder-to-shoulder with the Constables allows us to capture all the drama, action and humour as it unfolds", says Tash.

Motorway Patrol presents an entertaining insight into what the Road Policing team deal with everyday; tackling motorists" antics and motorway mayhem with cool-headed composure.

The latest series, shifts straight into top gear with a full-blown pursuit, fire***ers, a flipped van and a lippy pedestrian on the booze.
