Tex-mex-flavored singer, songwriter and arranger Doug Sahm - best known for his initiation of hard-driving country-rock in the mid-1970s at the behest of Jerry Wexler, and for his release of such seminal albums as Hell of a Spell (1980) and The Last Real Texas Blues Band (1994) - headlines this live concert film. It was shot before an enthusiastic audience in Austin, Texas.
