Delta Cyphei Project biography
Updating the biographies of the bands in a genre is usually challenging and rewarding, because you get the chance to learn about very rare bands, some of them really good and unfairly ignored, but in cases like DELTA CYPHEI PROJECT, is frustrating.

The band is not bad, but they play in the border that divides Neo Prog from simple mainstream, they have some decent keyboard sections, a couple of strong guitars but that's all you are before a band that reminds me of EUROPE and TOTO.

DELTA CYPHEI PROJECT was apparently formed in the early 90's by Mark Prietz (vocals), Paul Zeran (vocals), Jewgeny Wasinger (guitar), Wolf Khalvan (keyboards) and Victor Van Lis (drums).

Their first album "Supernova" was self released in 1992 via a label called Intelligence is music, with lyrics in English but very strong accent, very close to Prog Related, even when you can find some Neo Prog elements hiding behind the heavy Rock.

Their second album "Virtual World" was released in 1993 and even when the band doesn't sound bad at all, it's not a totally Prog album.

After that, there is little info about the band, good albums for people interested in Heavy Neo Prog bands with a touch of mainstream.
