CASUAL SILENCE started in 1993 with 3 lead singers from different bands. Rob seemed to be the right lead vocalist, while Ernst and Eric both sing backing vocals and play guitar and bass guitar. Together with Mark and Igor, they started off as a rock cover band which grew into a Progressive Rock band that now plays their own music. With Henry Meeuws behind the keyboards, the band was completed.

CASUAL SILENCE released their first album in 1997: "Bad Side Memories", followed by the mini CD "Shamelessly Dressed" in 1999 and a 3 track demo CD in 2001. Several side projects came out in 2002 and 2003:
- Keyboard player Henry Meeuws with his solo project: MEDEA - "Individual Unique", (Featuring Rob Laarhoven, Ernst Le Cocq d´Armandville and Eric Smits on vocals)
- Lead vocalist Rob Laarhoven, with his side project: DARWIN´S PRIDE - "State of Mind"

Celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2003, CASUAL SILENCE released their newest album: "Once In A Blue Moon". This new CD proofs that this Dutch Progressive Rock band has grown enormously. In over 40 album reviews, the band received an average of 93/100 for this new CD !
