Stephen Caudel (uitgesproken als Steven Cordel, volgens hemzelf) was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. He attended the City of Leeds College of Music and it was here that he first started to be drawn to progressive or symphonic rock.

His first symphony was Wine Dark Sea (sponsored by Capital Radio) and was premiered at London"s Victoria Palace with the Wren Orchestra conducted by Louis Clark of "Hooked on Classics" and ELO fame.

After Wine Dark Sea came the demand for live performances and over the years Stephen toured extensively in Britain and overseas, including 3 nights at the Royal Albert Hall as Special Guest of Art Garfunkel.

The Earth in Turquoise, based on the life of King Arthur, is Stephen"s latest symphonic rock composition, now available on CD via his own Dark Sea Records label. In addition it has been featured extensively on the Virgin FM Rock Show.

Stephen currently lives in Cumbria where he splits his time between music and designing web sites.

EEN PERSOONLIJKE NOOT:
Wine Dark Sea zou, wat mij betreft, eenzelfde status als Tubular Bells verdienen. Ik vind dit werkelijk een prachtog stuk muziek.
Verder is Stephen een aardige gast die het verdient meer succes te hebben. Als je deze muziek mooi vindt koop dan de CD"s, hij verdient het.
