Voor de verzamelaars !!
This two-track import EP, running 28:45, features the complete versions of "Interstellar Overdrive" and "Nick's Boogie" recorded by Pink Floyd in January 1967 at its first recording session. The tracks, fragments of which were used by filmmaker Peter Whitehead in his documentary Tonite Let's All Make Love in London are long, improvisatory instrumental tracks appropriate for use on the soundtrack where they accompany visuals, though the version of "Interstellar Overdrive" is less well-organized than the later one released on the group's debut album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Originally released only on the 1990 See for Miles U.K. reissue of the soundtrack album, the tracks were reissued on this EP in connection with the release of the 1995 Pink Floyd, London '66-'67 home video, which featured documentary footage of the April 1967 "14 Hour Technicolor Dream" show at the Alexandra Palace in London, at which Pink Floyd performed.
