The following are new or revised features for ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.2 Public Beta Release 1:
General

    * Added support for AIK 2.0 for Windows 7
    * Added support for Windows NT 4.0 SP6
    * Improved performance for h..p scanning
    * Added support for Dynamic Disks
    * Changed password input control
    * Extended data can be sent from the internal contact customer care form

Antivirus & Antispyware

    * Antivirus and Antispyware exceptions can be added in quotation marks
    * Settings from On-Demand Scanner profiles can now copy all values
    * Display notification about scan completion in a separate window functions properly
    * Repair installation no longer disables real-time protection after restart  

ESET SysRescue

    * Added ability to include external programs on ISO images
    * Fixed issue creating bootable disk on different types of media
    * Fixed issue with detecting HDD and LAN under Windows XP SP3
    * Repaired incorrect/random date displayed under "Last successful update" before an update has occurred

    * Suppport for Thunderbird 3
    * Received and rescanned emails no longer appear twice in Thunderbird offline mode (IMAP)
    * Sending a file using the right-click function in Microsoft Outlook (POP3, IMAP, Exchange) no longer returns an error
    * ESET Thunderbird Extension works seamlessly with Thunderbrid spam filter
    * Antivirus and Antispyware exceptions can be added in quotation marks
    * Fixed automatic removal of encrypted files in Microsoft Outlook Express
    * Only emails with infected files will be tagged, by default

ESET Personal Firewall

    * Added special zones
    * Firewall profiles
    * Added possibility to push update the Firewall module after a computer restart
    * New configuration window to exclude an application from the Firewall�s "Protocol filtering" function. It works in TDI and WFP (in WFP it is not possible to exclude applications from filtering)

ESET SysRescue

    * Repaired incorrect/random date displayed under "Last successful update" before the first update using the SysRescue CD
