Post Description
Sugar Cube is an adorable and visually striking platformer from Korean developer Turtle Cream that was voted the best game of IGF China in 2010. In just two days, the commercial release of the game, called Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory, will become available on a number of PC digital download services. The cleverly-premised title puts players in the role of an anthropomorphic sugar cube attempting to escape a syrupy-sweet abattoir cookie factory.

As you can tell from the trailer and screenshots, the backgrounds in each of the game's ninety levels are broken up into a grid. Each tile that comprises the background has two sides that flip when thetitular hero passes in front of them. What this seems to amount to is that each screen of the game must be manipulated in a way that reveals the way forward. It looks great, and should help players stay engaged through each of the game's five differently-themed worlds until they reach one of the game's dual endings.
