In Stone Age times - Northern Europe was a wonderful place to live where people pioneered a new, advanced, culture. Today, we worry about the effects of global warming, but humans have lived though eras of extreme climate change before. During the Middle Stone Age, the world's seas were rising far more rapidly than today. In Northern Europe, an area the size of California disappeared under the waves.  This programme features the archaeologists who are now reconstructing this lost land and have given it a name - Doggerland.
