THE INSTRUCTIONS:
 
First find & download to your HDD: the new KMEAW operating system (KMEAW CFW PATCHED), the PS3 Keys & the sacd-ripper.pkg. Also have to hand an empty USB stick reformatted to FAT32, as PS3 can only use FAT32.
 In order for the PS3 BluRay player to authenticate the SACD disc & to decode DST to DSD, 2 modules (SPU isoself) will be extracted from the system. In order to do so you must give the SACD-Ripper the PS3 keys, so it can extract them automatically. They will be asked for during 1st time installation, after that you can remove the keys from your USB stick.
 
***These instructions are for a PS3 that is already on Firm Ware 3.55.***
 
1: Plug a USB stick into your computer.
 2: Put the PS3 Keys & the 'sacd-ripper.pkg' in the root of this USB stick.
 3: Create a folder in the root of the USB stick called 'PS3'
 4: Create a folder inside this new 'PS3' folder called 'UPDATE'
5: Open the 'KMEAW CFW PATCHED' folder that you have on your HDD. See that it holds 'PS3UPDAT.PUP'.
Now move PS3UPDAT.PUP, to the folder you made called 'UPDATE'.
 * (On your USB stick you should now have: PS3 Keys & sacd-ripper.pkg /PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP.) 

As your FW is 3.55 you have to use the PS3's 'recovery mode' to install the new O/S.
 
6: Plug the USB stick into your PS3 & leave it there until everything is installed.
 7: Power down the PS3 through the PS3 menus, NOT via the off button.
 8: Now press & HOLD the power button, the system will startup & shutdown again.
 9: Release the power button, then press & HOLD power again, you'll hear 1 beep followed by 2 consecutive beeps.
 10: Immediately after 2 beeps release power button, & follow the on-screen instructions. You're now in recovery mode.
 11: Press the controller's (central) PS3 button to activate it & select "System Update" in the recovery mode menu.
 12: On screen it says PS3 is 'preparing to update' the O/S, just watch & wait.
 13: The PS3 will automatically re-start to install (KMEAW) the new O/S.
 14: On re-start you're asked to accept conditions, do so & wait, as KMEAW is installed. Progress (%) is shown on screen.
 15: After a few minutes the PS3 will re-start after installing KMEAW. Leave USB stick in place.
 
Now you've completed the KMEAW install you are ready to install the sacd-ripper.pkg. 

16: KMEAW may detect HDMI, if you're using it, & ask you to set it up with a couple of clicks.
 17: Reactivate the controller (central PS3 button) & go to the PS3's Game icon & scroll down to see "Install Package files". Click on this & it should find the sacd-ripper.pkg, then click this too.
 18: Final install of SACD-ripper takes seconds. After install of the sacd-ripper.pkg go to sacd-ripper via the PS3 Game menu, it will ask for the PS3 keys automatically, showing you it is doing so.
 19: After it has the keys, all is done & you can put in an SACD & rip it.
 20: Take great care not to let the PS3 overheat. Usually rip to iso rather than DIFF as it is less taxing on the PS3. Do all the hard conversion work on a PC or you might give your PS3 YLOD/RLOD due to overheating!
