Following the trend of exotic and Latin-themed albums of the late 50's and early 60's such as Peggy Lee's Latin ala Lee, Henry Mancini's Mr. Lucky Goes Latin, and Rosemary Clooney and Perez Prado's A Touch of Tabasco, Julie London released Latin in a Satin Mood in 1963 on Liberty Records. The songs were arranged and conducted by Ernie Freeman. Reissued on CD in Japan in 1991, it is now out of print and one of the most sought after discs in her catalogue.
