The Daring Young Man (1942)

Jonathan Peckinpaw (Brown) thinks he is a failure. To prove otherwise he decides to serve his country. Reporters follow his every attempt to get into the army, navy, marines... but Peckinpaw is rejected by every service group Then he gets involved with Sam Long (William Wright) who has invented radio controlled bowling balls. Peckinpaw can’t bowl, of course, and that’s when the fun begins. Throw in a bunch of Nazi spies and a submarine and you’ve got the makings of a wild, funny, World War II farce.
