This is Serena's most consistent and most pop CD. Maybe this will bring her the attention she deserves. Her other work has not defined her except as having just about the best voice in music. She has been all over the place in terms of genre. 
Don't get me wrong. I love her work so far and don't want her to enter the pop stream forever. In fact, I enjoy a lot of her earlier work more than this. But I also want to see her break through, then she can go back to showcasing all her talent to a larger audience. I hope it works out that way. Besides 'Stompa' is really catchy and there's still some classic Serena in songs like 'Call Me' and 'Baby Come Back'. I'll buy it and cheer Serena on.
