Post Description
The theatre in Lancashire is a well known local focus point for paranormal activity, with theatre goers and staff alike reporting paranormal experiences.
The building itself originally housed the Henrietta Street Iron Foundry, which was destroyed by fire in 1850. The burnt out shell was bought in 1886 and reconstructed as a theatre which opened its doors for the first time in 1893.
Members of the public, theatre staff, stage crew and performers have all reported supernatural experiences which include regular reports of ghostly apparitions.
Objects being thrown, ringing bells, unexplained draughts and a ghostly pair of 'blue legs' have all been reported along with the sound of a crowd settling down for a performance when the theatre is empty.
Among the ghostly apparitions are 'Kitty' who is believed to be an usherette who used to work in the auditorium, and 'Norah', described as an elderly woman dressed in black, with bunched grey hair and a white collar.
A figure known as 'Jackson' and another who resembles a doctor have also been spotted.
So will the Most Haunted team come across any evidence that the building is haunted, or meet any of the supposed apparitions?
