Cockpit and flight data recordings, eyewitness accounts and crash investigation reports allow the viewers to experience what the flight crew and passengers felt during the most harrowing moments of their lives...and in some cases...their last. By determining the exact causes of these airline mishaps, flight safety experts are able to make changes in the standard operating procedures and aircraft designs to insure that future flights are safer than those that preceded them.
