Seizoen: 3 - Afl. 3. Just a Man - Model prisoner Anton Burrows is up for parole but is denied when the victim?s family, the Amiris, speaks against him. 
Moments later, a ruthless gang incites a riot at Langstaff Maximum Security and takes the Amiris hostage. The SRU are called in and Ed is surprised to find an old friend acting as riot spokesman. 
Investigation leads the team to suspect the gang is plotting a break, but they discover the gang?s true agenda is much worse.

Flashpoint gaat over de Strategic Response Unit (SRU), is een elite en hoog opgeleide groep of agent die gijzelaars redden, bommen ontmantelen en gangs stoppen. 
De titel serie is vernoemd naar het psychologies aspect van het werk, wat ook de focus is van de show: 
In het hoofd komen van de verdachte om zijn emoties "flashpoint" te gebruiken om de zaak veilig en zonder geweld op te lossen. Alleen als laatste oplossing word geweld gebruikt.
