Mnozil Brass - Irmingard



Cheers for Mnozil Brass and Bernd Jeschek on the occasion of the first night of their strange and weird opera “Irmingard“. Mnozil Brass 

plays all parts of this “opera” by themselves performing the blowing, singing and dancing parts on top. Even the naughtiest princess has 

to get the idea at some point or another that it might be worth changing if one really wants to be loved. Well, it takes “Irmingard” 

quite a while to get that idea. The emperor’s granddaughter is the title character of a new “opera” or, respectively, of that what the 

author and director Bernd Jeschek calls “probably an opera”. Together with the brass band “Mnozil Brass” Jeschek brought “Irmingard” on 

stage at the Salzburg Festival, the commissioned production being lauded with wild applause at its first night.

Loving and beating, happiness and bliss, jealousy and reconciliation. even with a real dragon provided by Mnozil Brass! This DVD is a 

live recording from the 2008 Salzburg Festival. As usual, Mnozil Brass are of course playing all parts themselves - being the choir, the 

orchestra, the vocalists, the ballet and the actors all in one. Just have a look and enjoy!
