THE GAK OMEK is actually Robert Burger, one of the two core members of New Jersey-based space rock band BRAINSTATIK since 1995. He stepped into the solo career in early 2000's. 
His albums under THE GAK OMEK project are entirely his songwriting units, and most of it was produced by himself; he also plays guitar and guitar-synth. His debut was entirely played by him; 
the second album features Glenn Robitaille on acoustic and electronic drums (of BRAINSTATIK) and Dave Cashin on additional keyboards.

Burger's guitar style is often compared to Robert Fripp, Steve Hackett, Mike Oldfield, David Torn, and Pat Metheny, while THE GAK OMEK albums in general might resemble 80's and 90's KING CRIMSON, 
OZRIC TENTACLES and DJAM KARET, even Wendy Carlos.

THE GAK OMEK sound is not in a scope of usual production values, especially not the old ones. The sound is often heavily "computerized", including programmed percussion and a soundscape of almost 
generic MIDI sound banks. If you don't mind that aspect of the music, or you actually like it, then THE GAK OMEK's eclectic songwriting skills are certainly recommended.
