"Paul and Sheryl Shard haul anchor for a brand new adventure aboard their new sailboat, Distant Shores II. The Shards test their new 49-foot boat by exploring the small ports around Chichester Harbour and sailing around the Channel Islands in the UK before crossing the North Sea to Holland where they travel through the Frisian Islands. From here they sail to Germany where they transit the Kiel Canal and enter the Baltic Sea. After a thorough exploration of the islands of Denmark and the Swedish archipelagos along the east coast, the Shards make an inland voyage across Sweden through the Göta Canal to the west coast. On their return voyage they travel through the canals of Holland before crossing the English Channel back to Chichester Harbour to store their boat for the winter. "
