Het Black Jazz Records is een Amerikaans platenlabel voor jazz, gemaakt door Afro-Amerikaanse musici. Het werd in het begin van de jaren zeventig opgericht door pianist Gene Russell, in een tijd waarin de burgerrechten-beweging op stoom was gekomen en het 'zwarte' bewustzijn groeide. Het label wilde hierin een rol spelen. Hieronder een klein greep van 13! albums

en de tweede is, "The Blue Note Years 1939-1999" een geweldige set van 14! ceedees, of ik het allemaal goed vind? Nee, en of dit de beste liedjes zijn? sommige, en veel heb ik al... En toch wil ik het graag hebben, dit is toch de ultieme jazz box, waar vind je zoveel echte jazz artiesten bij elkaar? Deze box lekt gewoon jazz..
