There are many many recordings of mozart which all vary in quality from great to so so. Yet this particular voice, with this orchestra, playing this piece is simply phenomenal. Exultate Jubilate is a Mozart masterpiece in and of itself, requiring deft musicianship, precision and delicacy. Emma Kirby is up to the task and does not miss a single note. The quality of her voice stunning and the lack of showiness is an asset. The Academy of Ancient Music is equally stunning in its precision and execution of the delicate and powerful piece, which only leaves to me think that this may be THE mozart recording of modern times.
