SPOT :The Team Acekard has also released a solution to use the Acekard 2i on the new console from Nintendo, 3DS. Like the other tutorials, this only allows us to run homebrew, backups and other things in DS mode, so logically the 3D mode is not active.

The first and most important, if it makes the process of updating 2i Acekard wrong, this can cause the cartridge brickeo, so long as you do, is at your own risk.

This tutorial, for now only applies to a particular model of Acekard 2i, so do it on a different model, might not work. But let's start slowly for a few minutes to enjoy this great cartridge in our 3DS.

1) We need:

    Nintendo DS (anything but the 3DS)
    Operating System AKAIO.1.8.6a 

2) Unzip the Akai system 1.8.6a with Winzip, Winrar, or our favorite decompressor, and we shall be as follows:

    A folder __aio
    Akmenu4.nds file 

The first and most important, must be formatted in FAT32 microSD before placing the folder and file in the microSD.

3) Once installed, we put the microSD in the cartridge, and this in the console. When you turn and enter the menu choice will give us 2 or Slot MicroSD, MicroSD choose.

It is at this point that we know if (for now) we can apply the patch to work in 3DS. To find out when we are on the menu, press Start and we will see a dropdown on the right side of the screen.

There we see the exact model we Acekard 2i. For this tutorial is compatible with your version must contain the following:

    Akai 1.8.6
    HW: 81
    SVN: 1074 (1073 or 900 are also compatible, and if HW: 81 can be tested without problem to see if it works). 

4) If it is compatible download the following file:

    ak2ifw_update_3ds_v1_DSi 

To decompress a file ak2ifw_update_3ds_v1_DSi.nds we will copy them to the microSD.

5) We put the microSD in the cartridge, and this again to the console, once we are on the menu and run the file ak2ifw_update_3ds_v1_DSi.nds tells us that press start to begin the update.

Once this process completes, and the cartridge will be updated and the icon will have changed by the Dorasu''game.'' If we get here, we already have 2i Acekard ready to run on Nintendo 3DS.
