Doris Mary Ann Kappelhoff (Cincinnati, 3 april 1924) is een Amerikaans zangeres, actrice en dierenactiviste. Ze werd bekend onder de artiestennaam Doris Day.

Zij is van Duitse afkomst. Doris Day speelde in 39 speelfilms en heeft in Amerika het imago van "buurmeisje" ('girl next door').

Doris Day heeft haar grote populariteit te danken aan haar rollen in musicals en romantische komedies
