Penguindrum" follows the story of the brothers Kanba and Shouma, who find themselves at the mercy of a mysterious penguin hat. The reason being that the hat temporarily grants their terminally ill sister Himari an extension to her lifespan, but only if the boys agree to find and deliver an item called the "Penguin Drum".
