A brand new Scandinavian band featuring members of Lst Autumns Dream, Coldpsell and Gypsy Rose among others. Love Under Cover comes out on their debut album “Set the light on Fire” with their sights set on creating more classic hard rock with tons of melody. Songs like the forceful “Who Needs Love”, the potent mid-temp groovier “My Best Friend”and early Europe flavored “Through the Storm”will have little trouble going down with fans of Treat, Whitesnake and others in that territory.
Mikael Erlandsson on keyboards also handles the bulk of the vocal duties, and his throaty resonance is put to best use when changing up his emotional impact, most evident on the closing semi-ballad Ä Nice Day”where he channels his best Paul Rodgers and John Waite influences. Love Under Cover does not break any new terrain with these 11 songs, but it’s very comfortable to those who love Scandinavian hard rock performed with passion and class.
