Post Description
This is volume 10 of 10 of the Lost Films of Laurel and Hardy released by Hal Roach Entertainment and Image Entertainment. All of the DVD's are OOP. I suggest that everbody read the PDF files I've posted withe Volume 1 to get an idea of what these DVD's contain.
All films are mastered from 35mm materials. Be Big! (1930), Our Gang Follies of 1938 (1937), and Bear Shooters (1930) come from Original Camera Nitrate Negatives.
Since this volume isn't mentioned in the PDF, I'll describe it.
Be Big! (1931)
Laurel & Hardy sound short. Hardy pretends to be sick to ditch the wives, so that he can Stan can attend a stag party.
Our Gang Follies of 1938 (1937)
Little Rascals comedy revue.
School's Out (1930)
Little Rascals short. Jackie Cooper loves Miss Crabtree (June Marlowe). But she loves a man and wants to marry him. The gang plots to run him out so that Jackie can have her.
Bear Shooters (1930)
Litte Rascals short. The rascals head into the woods looking for trouble.
The Stolen Jools (1931)
All-star revue of who's who in Hollywood look for Norma Shearer's stolen jewels. Ollie and Stan star as cops.
Whispering Whoopee (1930)
Charley Chase short with Thelma Todd and Anita Garvin. Charley hires "party girls" to help close a real estate negotiation. Print is awful. The one shown on TCM is better.
Other than Be Big (1930) this disc doesn't offer much unless you like Little Rascals too.
