Om het 30 jarig bestaan van dit iconische album te vieren komen er heel bijzondere versies van dit album met daarop niet eerder uitgebrachte versies van de bekende nummers, nieuwe versies, niet eerder geziene foto’s en nog veel meer.

Het album The Joshua Tree, uitgebracht op 9 maart 1987, met daarop de hitsingles “With Or Without You”, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” en “Where The Streets Have No Name” is het eerste album waarmee U2 een nummer 1 positie in de Verenigde Staten behaalt en komt ook wereldwijd bovenin de albumlijsten, waaronder in Nederland, de UK en Ierland. Met meer dan 25 miljoen verkochte exemplaren wereldwijd groeien Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr volgens het muziekmagazine Rolling Stone uit van helden tot supersterren.
