Bluesband uit Haarlem die in de jaren '70 uitgroeit tot een zeer gewaardeerde live-act. Nadat de gezichtsbepalende zangeres Tineke Schoemaker in 1984 de band verlaat, valt deze uiteen. In de jaren negentig komt het gezelschap weer bij elkaar en wordt het succes op de oude voet voortgezet. 
 1974 
 Na het ter ziele gaan van de Oscar Benton Bluesband richten muzikanten Johnny LaPorte, Han van Dam, Jan Willem Sligting en Art Bausch de groep Barrelhouse op. De bandnaam is afkomstig van de artiestennaam Barrelhouse Baily die pianist Han van Dam had bij Oscar Benton. De eerste bezetting is kortstondig. Drummer Art Bausch wordt vervangen door Bob Dros en zowel nieuwkomers Shakey Sam (zang/gitaar/mondharmonica) als Paul Vielvoye (mondharmonica) verlaten de groep alweer snel.
