Vrijdag 030910: De Pul, Uden. Concert: The Enid.

Audience: maybe 25 ??? (inclusief 4 FTD-ers)

Geweldig concert, voor zo weinig publiek.  RJ Godfrey zei het nog: Spread the word that the Enid is a fantastic band, so many people will come and join our concerts. Want een belevenis was het. Ruim 2 uur hebben ze opgetreden, en dan ook nog een toegift geven voor 25 man. Een privé concert eigenlijk. De laatste keer dat ik de gasten (weliswaar in een andere line-up heb zien spelen was in 1984 in the Marquee in London, toen was het uitverkocht).
Dit is je reinste symfonische muziek, tot op het bot. Symfonischer kan eigenlijk niet.

The so called ?Liverpool Album? was specially pressed (800 pieces) and given away to members of the audience who attended a famous Enid concert in Liverpool in the 1980?s.

Contrary to a common myth, this is not a live album of that concert. It is a compilation album of studio tracks taken from Something Wicked this Way Comes, The Spell and Salome. The Liverpool Album also has a recording of Nimrod especially made for inclusion on this anthology.

This version was played and recorded in front of a small audience of friends and fans shortly before the show in Liverpool took place. The aplause, which was removed from the orginal vinyl production, has been left on. (There are in fact two other recordings of The Enid performing Nimrod in existence.)

Originally forming part of the ?The Stand Archive?, all these recordings are now owned by The Enidi and you may download this album for free together with original art work.
