Post Description

Pianist Paul Cardall reflects on life's journey and his own experiences in Living for Eden. Disc one features twelve upbeat, raw, emotional pop instrumentals, while disc two contains nothing but heartfelt piano solos tenderly performed on his own piano in the quiet and reflective moments at home. More than 90 minutes of beautiful music.

"Music is a means to an end for me. It's a gift that allows me to share emotions that reflect my life's philosophy. Because we all know life is full of surprises. There are ups and downs. But, through it all there exists in my heart the comforting assurance that God is real. I believe He knows what is in our heart. This earthly experience allows us to know the good from the evil. We have the agency to choose right from wrong. We suffer the consequences of our choices. And we experience all the joy from choosing the right. I've learned that long-term happiness does not come from any accolades, money, or advancement in society but by putting our whole heart into loving and serving those in our home and community.
This album is a celebration of my 35 years. I love life. I'm reminded every day through my experiences of the gift of life. But, I think of the millions of people suffering in the world. Pain and loss is all around us. Poverty, disease, war, the list goes on. It's overwhelming and devastating. My heart turns to these people. I believe the end to all of this begins with us. We can change ourselves and begin to make this world once again as peaceful as the Garden of Eden.
This life is a brief moment in the grand scale of things and life moves pretty fast. God is our Father and He sent us here to be tested to choose for ourselves how to live. We can't know the good without the bad. There is opposition in all things. But, we should choose to live for God. We should live for our families. We should live for our communities. And maybe then we can find the long-term joy in living for an ideal paradise like Eden."

“Iets kan zowel goed, slecht of geen van beiden zijn. Muziek is bijvoorbeeld goed voor iemand in een melancholische bui, slecht voor degene die rouwt en de dove maakt het niets uit.”

“A person does not hear sound only through the ears; he hears sound through every pore of his body.
It permeates the entire being, and according to its particular influence either slows or quickens the rhythm of the blood circulation; it either wakens or soothes the nervous system.
It arouses a person to greater passions or it calms him by bringing him peace. According to the sound and its influence a certain effect is produced.
Sound becomes visible in the form of radiance.
This shows that the same energy which goes into the form of sound before being visible is absorbed by the physical body.
In that way the physical body recuperates and becomes charged with new magnetism.”

~ Sufi Inayat’s ~

Enjoy the feeling
