Shake Your Hips" (sometimes known as "Hip Shake") is a song written and first performed in 1966 by American bluesman Slim Harpo. The song has been recorded by many artists, perhaps most notably by The Rolling Stones on their album Exile on Main St.. ZZ Top also borrowed the rhythm and intro for their song, "La Grange". In January 2012, Joan Osborne released a version of the song to promote her new album Bring It On Home which was released in March of that year.
