Post Description
The folk-rock band America experienced its heyday during the mid to late 1970s, scoring a string of hits including the number one singles "Horse With No Name" and "Sister Golden Hair." AMERICA: LIVE AT CENTRAL PARK 1979 captures the band during the height of its popularity, only a short time before it began to fall apart and the period of its widespread popularity ended. Directed by documentarian Peter Clifton, the film contains the only filmed concert that exists of America, along with footage of New York and California during the late '70s, thereby chronicling not only the band but also the cultural time and place that influenced it.
