“KGB were the supergroup of the supergroups, the créme de la crème, a mid seventies collective featuring of the most impeccable musicians in the UK and USA.
Bassist Ric Grech (Ginger Bakers Airforce, Blind Faith etc.), Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Black Sabbath etc.) that has been credited with inventing heavy-rock drumming, singer Ray Kennedy (Beach Boys), guitarist Mike Bloomfield and Barry Goldberg on keyboards (Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Electric Flag, Bob Dylan etc.).
Although this didn't receive good reviews when first released cause failed to live up to expectations, it has become a much sought after gem. A little to commercial for bluesman Mike Bloomfield he reportedly didn't like it either. Mixing light rock with the band’s influences of funk, folk and a touch of blues, there are some fine moments here. Their version of Sail On Sailor is just killer, other high points are Midnight Traveller, Workin' For The Children, Baby Should I Stay Or Go... ”
