Post Description
The history of QUEENSRYCHE is too long to be mentioned here in this description. QUEENSRYCHE was/is one of the three bands that influenced the progressive movement like any other band (the other two are FATES WARNING and DREAM THEATER). They constructed a progressive form of heavy metal that drew equally from the guitar pyrotechnics of post-VAN HALEN metal and "70s art rock, most notably PINK FLOYD and QUEEN. Like most late-"80s metal bands, their audience disappeared after the emergence of grunge. Nevetheless, they retained a large cult following well into the "90s.
With their two albums - 1984"s "The Warning" and 1986"s "Rage for Order", the group continued to refine their sound. "The Warning" was an ambitious project from a young band with a lot to say, launching a world tour throughout which the band"s musical horizons continued to expand. "Rage for Order" also demonstrated a flowering of progressive rock influences, an idea which would reach its fruition with 1988"s "Operation: Mindcrime". This release is perhaps the greatest progressive metal concept album of all time. For the fans is a must have...!
Two years later, the band created their biggest commercial album to date (1990"s "Empire"), in selling over two million copies due to the hit single "Silent Lucidity." QUEENSRYCHE "Greatest Hits" documents the first chapter is one of the most distinctive bands of the late "80s and "90s in America. "Tribe" is repeated to be a return to the classic QUEENSRYCHE sound of the late 80s-early 90"s.
